As much as I hate iTunes is as much as I love Metric. So while I usually trash any iTunes-centric press release I read this one (yes, I know, me ignoring them means their empire will soon fall). January 4th saw the release of the Metric iTunes Session. This is 8 tracks and an interview that has acoustic tracks, band songs and a cover of Buffalo Springfield’s Expecting to Fly.
Christopher Mills, who directed the band’s fabulous video for the song, Collect Call, also directed this one.
Oh and why do I hate iTunes? I know you want to know. Here is an example;I just want to put music on my device and listen to it-- Not have to authorize everything. And then, even when I click the button to erase, so I can just put the stuff on again later they WON’T LET ME. It is like going into a store and having a security guard follow you around with a night stick. So, fuck you iTunes. But if you have less hostility go buy the Metric iTunes Session as I am sure that is great.
