Martha's Trouble, Alabama-Based Folk Outfit, Head Out On "House" Tour

Martha’s Trouble, a folk duo from Alabama, are heading out on their At Your House tour on September 23. These house concerts will take place on the East Coast and in the Southeast. Basically these are private concerts more or less. If you don’t know the people you are not attending. So why post it?

This is an interesting way, and certainly not a NEW way, for folk artists and other singer songerwiters to be ABLE to tour. Try booking an acoustic tour sometime—or any tour—the people who book venues are often very very risk averse. Sometimes they are also evil.

Martha’s Trouble released a fan-funded album, Anchor Tattoo, in February. It is their tenth record. If you have a way to host concerts like this? Go online and look for all the opportunities. It may cost less than you think.
