Autonomia by Mark Stewart (with Primal Scream), is about autonomist protester killed at G8 demonstrations in Genoa in 2001. Autonomists are protesters who are, simply defined, extreme anarchists; they join no groups, the protest solo based on their own beliefs. I am sure someone will disagree with me on that. People into this stuff love niggling details.
It is a protest song of sorts and the story of a man who died for what he believed in (even if this song doesn’t give you the story maybe it inspires you to find out more). The single comes out February 20, 2012, check out the video below.
