Add to this Morrison’s background as a playwright, actress and voice actress and toss in Alasdair Roberts from the Lowlands and you have added some more to the pot. Roberts doesn’t speak Gaelic and this is, in essence the meeting of someone who started life steeped in old traditions and someone rediscovering them. The record is Urstan (pronounced, apparently, Oorshtan).
The record is mostly traditional Gaelic fare with some Scots songs and original tracks too. Keep an eye out for it. Unique stuff and a bow to Drag City for releasing it.
