LCD Soundsystem is ending. No mas! They have scheduled at final show, an “extravaganza” at Madison Square Garden on April 2. Tickets go on sale February 11 at bowerypresents.com.
This show, billed as LCD Soundsystem: The Long Goodbye, will be a three hour performance. It will span the groups entire career. In some cases the band will perform songs for the first time ever (and presumably the last).
It is rare that a group breaks up and goes their own way while, seemingly, on the UPWARD arc of their career but that is what LCD are doing. The show will include many of the band’s collaborators over te years as well as a choir, horn & string sections and more.
The band is wearing only black and white for the show and wants the audience to do the same.
