Ladysmith Black Mambazo have a double CD chock full of guest artists slate to come out January 10, 2012. If you are not familiar with the group, first of all you should be ashamed and second you should know they are an acapella choir from South Africa.
They appeared on Paul Simon’s Graceland album and, here, Simon returns the favor. Also on the record are Taj Mahal, Dolly Parton, Sarah McLachlan, Josh Groban, Emmylou Harris, Lou Rawls, Natalie Merchant and a slew of others.
The CD is titled, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Friends. If you think you know what this is going to sound like…I caution you, you are probably wrong.
