Kenny Wayne Shepherd'’s latest release, How I Go, made its debut at number 1 on the Blues chart. I am not sure which Blues chart but I suspect they mean Billboard. I also have no idea how many records that means he sold….but any way you cut it adebut at #1 kicks ass over a debut at #35. It was also up there on the other charts so I jest a little. It isn’t like it appeared at # 1 on the Palestinian Trance Ambient Chart.
The record came out on August 2. You may not be aware of Shepherd but if you like geetar playing? You probably should be. Sure this appeared highest on the Blues chart but make no mistake this isn’t Robert Johnson. It owes as much to rock n roll. Shepherd is also on tour and dates are below.
