Jim James’ solo debut, Regions of Light and Sound of God, comes out February 5, 2013 on ATO Records. James, as you may now is guitarist, singer and songwriter for My Morning Jacket.

A great deal of the album is inspired by the 1929 novel, God’s Man, by Lynd Ward. The book is told entirely with woodcuts—no words. It is about an artist struggling with temptation and finding love. James’ music is, in essence, an accompaniment to the book.
