One Chicago Festival that is a no hassle good time, all day long, but doesn’t get the ink nationally of some others—is the Hideout’s Block Party. This year bands (so far) include; Iron & Wine, Wye Oak, The War On Drugs, Glen Hansard, The Waco Brothers w/ Paul Burch, CAVE, Lee Fields & The Expressions, The Corin Tucker Band, Wild Belle, The Lawrence Peters Outfit, Redmoon Theater and Guitarkestra.
More bands will be announced soon including a “big announcement”.
The event takes place September 14 and 15, 2012 beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday. Tickets are $50 for both days. Like all festivals they sell a certain number of tickets at a low price, then raise the price and finally sell single day tickets.
