He's My Brother She's My Sister, out of L.A. actually include brother and sister Robert and Rachel Kolar. Lauren Brown plays drum and tap dances (that is not made up). Add to that a stand up bass and a lap steel guitar and you have the musical backbone of the group. The band's debut record, Nobody Dances In This Town, comes out January 22, 2013.
In the past year or so they have played over 150 shows with the likes of Neko Case, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Dawes, My Morning Jacket and more. They are heading out on the road again in January.
