Gary Numan has a new LP, his first since 2006, coming soon. The LP, Splinter, comes out October 15, 2013. The record comes out on Numan's own label, Machine Music. The record was co-produced with Ade Fenton and features guitar work by Robin Finck (NIN). Tour dates are planned--some with NIN--and are below.
Numan's impact on electronic music is sort of hard to overstate. He is one of the few elecronic artists who, back in the 70s, was widely known to the general public. There are other innovators from the time but very few reached into and influenced the mainstream like Numan did. And he only had one big hit.
