Have you been wondering what is going on with bass meets futuristic cumbia in Buenos Aires? Who hasn’t? You will be happy to know that ZZK Records has a new compilation, Future Sounds of Buenos Aires, coming out May 1.
Joking aside, there is a great deal of good electronic and dance music coming out of Argentina. You can check out a teaser for the release below via Soundcloud.
ZZK is releasing a lot of interesting stuff. They are one of the labels leading the way in this new electronic music movement in South America (which is of longer duration than you might imagine…just back when they tended to do a lot of ambient). This music is different. It is electronic with a Latin flavor incorporating local musical styles into existing genres.
