Firewater are a really super duper project. Their last record, Golden Hour, came out in 2008 and was just completely brilliant. The new record, International Orange! Comes out September 11, 2012, on Bloodshot. There is also a worldwide tour. Check out dates HERE.

Tod A produced his band’s record and Tamir Muskat of Balkan Beat Box (who I always mean to see but never do) mixed. The record was recorded in Istanbul and Tel Aviv in the Spring of 2011. You can expect influences from around the globe—but not done in the usual “Ohh we bought a sitar!” kind of way.
