Emily Wells is releasing an acoustic reworking of her 2012 LP, Mama. The new record, Mama Acoustic Recordings, comes out (and there is vinyl) June 11 on Partisan Records. Wells, based in NYC, is also heading out on a tour (dates below).
When you think of wells, by the way, acoustic versions usually do not spring to mind. Her music is usually a layer of oddball sounds. In this case she sort of recorded the acoustic version…by accident.
