Diamond Rugs is a band made up of members of Dear Tick, The Black Lips, Los Lobos, Dead Confederate and Six Finger Satellite. That means they are sort of a “super group”…you know like Asia.
The apparently premiered their music by sending it to employees and patrons of strip clubs. I am not sure why…oh wait…strippers. Ok, now I know why.
The band has a self-titled debut release coming on Partisan Records on April 24, 2012. Keep your ears open. If you are not one to hit the strip clubs you can check out and download a track, Gimme A Beer, HERE. There is a live video of that track from the band’s only show (so far) HERE.
