Do you like shoegaze? Do you like Caribou meat? Then you may like Delay Trees. Of course, I am just assuming the whole “caribou meat” thing because the band is from Finland. They have critters like that up there so I assume they eat them.
I digress…the band’s self-titled debut is out May 10 on Friendly Fire Records. You can hear a track above, Cassette 2012. These guys do not look old enough to know about CASSETTES.
Lots of new bands doing shoegazey stuff these days and doing it right. There can never be too much of it in my book. And being from Finland, where the weather probably sucks even more than Chicago, is probably conducive to the genre.
