The Civil Liberties Defense Center, a nonprofit organization of public interest attorneys and others. These folks work to defend and uphold the rights of activists through litigation, outreach, legal support and more. In a time when there are interests ALL over the political spectrum who want to restrict YOUR rights, we need more groups like this (and this is my site so I can editorialize all I want).
Autonomous Music is releasing a 13 track compilation, In Defense Vol. 1, which includes music from-- Willie Nelson, STS9, Marty Dread, Heavyweight Dub Champion and Killah Priest, Bluetech, Dr. Israel and Seven, Jeff Luers, Pitch Black, Blackbird Raum, Ramona Africa and MORE.
That line up is all over the place, folk, country, reggae, jazz and rock, something for every taste and then some.
