Candy Dulfer is a rock n roll saxophone player. What other brass instrument has ever mattered in rock n roll? Sure there are trumpets and trombones here and there but the sax is really the only one with legs. Dulfer’s new record, Crazy, comes out January 31, 2012.
Of course saying Dulfer is a “rock n roll” saxophonist is pigeon holing her. She plays jazz, pop, soul, R&B, funk and even techno. But what is rock if not an amalgam of other styles?
Prinz Board is on board as prouducer. His credits include being musical director for Black Eyed Peas for over ten years. Board has also worked with Katy Perry, Macy Gray, Sergio Mendes Gomez and Burt Bacharach.
