Caught a Ghost is the latest project from California-based producer and songwriter, Jesse Nolan. The debut EP from the project, Nightworks, comes out on +1 Records February 12, 2013. Three tracks from the record are currently up at the band’s Soundcloud page. You can check out Connected below. Pop over to their page for the others. You can also buy the tracks at the usual, large, evil online music retailer. They Might Be Giants are releasing a new record, Nanobots, on March 15, 2013. Before then they not only have three sold out New Year’s Eve shows but those dates are to be followed by a massive tour. A track from the record is out now via Rolling Stone. Leaked? If something LEAKS it is an accident, like a White House staffer saying to a reporter , “I saw the President strangle a puppy….” or someone sending Julian Assange a boatload of confidential documents. This sounds INTENTIONAL to me. Head HERE to check out and download the song, Call Your Mom. Tour

Midnight Spin’s debut record, Don’t Let Me Sleep, comes out January 15, 2013. The band has been around for four or five years before getting to the recording. As a teaser you can check out the track, Lion Run, below. The song has its origins in a cheap hotel room outside Bangkok (no...this story isn’t like The Crying Game). One band member emailed a video to another to get the idea down--then, after a few days, right into the studio to record it. Good to see folks working when inspiration strikes. The new record is produced by Justin Gerrish who has also worked with The Strokes, Weezer and Vampire Weekend. Head to the band website for more info and note tour dates below. Tour
