![]() What says Merry Christmas like “Dropkick Murphys?” The Boston-based band has a new Christmas song, The Season’s Upon Us, and video out. You can see the video below and buy the track at the usual digital retailers. The track is a bonus on the band’s latest Signed and Sealed in Blood, that comes out January 8, 2013. ![]() Eels have a new single out today (December 18), New Alphabet. You can hear the single below. The album, Wonderful, Glorious, comes out February 5, 2013. But you can pre-order the full length HERE. One of the best interviews I did for another publication was with Eel’s drummer. I am not sure if he still is. At the time he was drumming for Lucinda Williams and the video interviews were the best I ever did with a drummer. Unfortunately they were never edited. So bully for Eels, check out the track below and buy the pre-order. Also check out the video for Peach Blossom below. ![]() Sally Shapiro’s third record, Somewhere Else, is coming out February 26, 2013 on Paper Bag Records. Sally Shapiro isn’t a person in this case but rather a Swedish-Italian duo that produce disco pop music. They draw influences from jazz, ambient, funk, disco and more. You can check out a single from the band, What Can I Do, below. Sally Shapiro isn’t a person, as noted, but also actually IS. “Sally” is the singer of the duo but is notoriously shy. She doesn’t sing live and doesn’t reveal her real name. She apparently doesn’t even allow her partner into the studio when she records vocals. At least this is what the press release says. ![]() Sin Fang (Sindri Már Sigfússon) the founder of Seabear, has a new single, Young Boys, off his upcoming third solo record, Flowers. The shortening of his name may well be for the benefit of those of us who can never find the accent marks on our computer keyboards. The record is produced by Alex Somers who has also worked with Sígur Rós and Jónsi. Both of these bands also require accent marks. Flowers is out February 19 via Morr Music. You can listen to and download the first single via the Soundcloud link below. ![]() IAMX has a new single, The Unified Field, is out now. We have mentioned it before. But what we haven’t mentioned is the newly announced North American tour (dates below). The Unified Field full-length comes out in 2013 as well. This record was funded via crowd sourcing on Pledge Music. As noted before the new record reunines Chris Corner of IAMX with his former partner in the Sneaker Pimps, Liam Howe. Tour
