The Mynabirds are awesome. Now that we have that out of the way the band is releasing a limited edition colored 7 inch for their track, Body of Work, November 20th. You can pre-order it HERE. It will also be available at the usual digital outlets. The 7 inch is limited to 1000 various colored vinyl copies. The B-side will be the previously unreleased track, In the Mouths of Wolves. The release will be in a 4 panel jacket that can be folded into an origami wild horse. I am not making that up. 12/31 - Chicago @ The Metro 1/15 - New York City @ Webster Hall Morcheeba is one of the bands who reached the pinnacle of trip-hop. Vocalist, Skye has her third solo record, Back To Now, coming out October 30, 2012. The first single is Featherlight and the video for the track is below. Stephen Fitzmaurice produces. All fans of trip-hop and its children should have a listen to the track and look forward to the full length. Fitzmaurice has also worked with Paloma Faith, Metronomy and Professor Green. New York City's Strip Darling first came together in 2002 under another name but their inspirations remain the same; from Portishead to Led Zeppelin to Grizzly Bear. Chris Corner is also documenting the production of the new record on his Youtube channel. Jim Abbiss who has worked with Arctic Monkeys, Temper Trap, Adele and, unsurprisingly, Sneaker Pimps, is co-producing. The record is also a reunion of sorts, Corner is once again working with fellow Sneaker Pimp, Liam Howe on a few traacks. |
