Anna Ternheim has a new record coming. The Night Visitor comes out June 5 on V2 Records and is produced by Matt Sweeney. Sweeney has worked with Bonnie “Prince” Billy and Chavez. Check out the track, The Longer The Waiting, below.
I write an awful lot about artists from Scandinavia. Ternheim is one of these. She is Swedish and won a Swedish Grammy for best new artist in 2010. Looking to break worldwide she then set out for New York where she waits tables. NO! She doesn’t. I made that up!!!
And imagine this—a Swedish singer, based in NYC producing a record relying largely on talent from Nashville. Sounds like a keeper.
