Amy LaVere and Shannon McNally are releasing an EP, Chasing The Ghost, on October 23, 2012 (Archer Records). The release is the first time the two artists have recorded together. The two were brought together by producer Jim Dickinson when the band The Wandering formed eary this year. The sessions for this record followed hard on the heels of The Wandering's tour.
On Amy LaVere's solo tour a year or so ago she played Schubas in Chicago. I was exhausted that night and almost begged off. I still count going to see her as one of the best decisions I've made in the last half decade or so.
