I wrote something up on this but it vanished. Why? Because I use Weebly for the site I suppose. Nonetheless, The Unspeakable Chilly Gonzalez has a video out. His record, of the same title, is coming from Canada's Arts & Crafts on June 7.

Clock Opera’s latest single and video, Belongings, is out on Moshi Moshi. They are reputed to be one of the UK’s best live acts. Of course, that is in their press release. What is the release going to say? That they suck? But if you pump that up on this side of the Atlantic when they pop over here they better deliver. Anyway their debut full length is coming in the fall. Eskimo Boy” (Lightwaves Remix)“Eskimo Boy” (Vanguard Remix) Australians, Strange Talk, have a new video out for their track, Eskimo Talk. The song also has a few remixes available that you can hear above.. The Strange Talk EP was the first time the Neon Gold label released a record on vinyl and CD. The label has been a vinyl only affair previously. We wrote about this before but not these remixes. You can also hear a stream of the record on the band Soundcloud page. Check out the video below as well. Egypt Central’s latest, White Rabbit, comes out May 31. Starting yesterday (yeah, I am behind the times) they band are putting “sneak peaks” on their Facebook page.
Basically these sneak peaks will be behind the scenes videos and previews of tracks off the record. The band will talk about tracks and other album related info. They will also tell you the meaning of life. The band’s bassist, Joey Chicago, is the artist behind the art of the CD booklet which is the first for cells of a comic strip based on the story of the White Rabbit. Revolver will be unveiling the first 12 parts of the comic with Chicago (the bassist, not the city)’s thoughts. You can check these out HERE. You can order the record and find more neat stuff at the band website (click their name above). New West Records is releasing Robert Ellis’ Photographs, his first full-length effort. This is country music kids. I heard one song (you can hear it below). It isn’t alt country straight outta Michigan (not that there is anything wrong with that). It is country and it is straight outta Texas. Ellis is from Houston, which boasts some pretty good songwriters and players of yesteryear. He will also be playing a Portland residency solo and hitting the road with his band. Tour dates (as opener for Old 97s) and residency dates are below. Be sure to check him out. Tour

Singer Paul McCoy also sang on Evanescence’s track Bring Me To Life, which won a Grammy. That single sold like a gazillion copies. I hope McCoy got royalties on that. His press release doesn’t say.
Anyway, along with the record there shall be a tour and you should keep an eye on the band’s website, www.12stones.com, for details. Hard rock out of New Orleans. Who would have thought.
