These pieces are both oil on "found art." They are essentially paintings that have been rescued from the trash and repurposed. They certainly require a good close look (preferably in person).
Pollot, who lives in New York City, actually picks these pieces up at thrift stores and similar places. He then adds new bits and pieces; sometimes he adds more and sometimes he adds less.
