Sariñana’s solo debut (she was part of the Mexican band, Feliz No Cumpleanos) in 2008 was nominated for both a Grammy & Latin Grammy. She has been on a number of telenovelas (starting when she was 11). She is sort of a Mexican Indie Rock Britney Spears.
How she got started so early is not a mystery as she is the daughter of director Fernando Sariñana. She is heading out on tour opening for Sara Bareilles, Fitz & The Tantrums and Ray LaMontagne.
