New West Records is releasing Robert Ellis’ Photographs, his first full-length effort. This is country music kids. I heard one song (you can hear it below). It isn’t alt country straight outta Michigan (not that there is anything wrong with that). It is country and it is straight outta Texas.
Ellis is from Houston, which boasts some pretty good songwriters and players of yesteryear. He will also be playing a Portland residency solo and hitting the road with his band. Tour dates (as opener for Old 97s) and residency dates are below. Be sure to check him out.
