III Points Festival brings music, technology and art together in the Wynwood area of Miami. The festival takes place October 3 to 5, 2013. Among the acts confirmed are James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem), Jamie xx, Miami Horror and DJ Shadow. This is the first year for the festival. There will also be lectures, film screenings (with the David Lynch Foundation), games, seminars and, because this is Wynwood, art. Each night has its own vibe There is a lot more to it than this of course. Guests will have acces to an app with downloads from artists, maps, videos amd more info on tht weekend. III Points is a collaboration between Young Turks (record label), Oh Really Creative and Club Bardot. This very much reminds me of something and it has a very tropical feel for music by a woman from Rhode Island. I went back and listened twice. Deltron 3030 have a new video for City Rising from the Ashes, The song is off their soon to be released LP, Deltron 3030: Event II which comes out October 1, 2013.. You can pre-order standard and deluxe. The video, which premiered at Noisey, is below via Youtube. Their last LP, Zonoscope, was nominated for a Grammy. Tne music includes a compilation found in the garage of Fox Studio a gay porn company. The tracks were recorded between 1973 to 81. Cowlley was an experimental sound crafter in the disco era. He was instrumental in the creation of the "San Francisco Sound." He was also a producer working with Paul Parker, Sylvester, Jorge Socarras and others. Cowley passed away tragically young--at the age of 32 of AIDS. The release date coincides with what would have been his 63rd birthday. Proceeds from the release go to the San Francisco AIDS foundation. Find out more at www.megatronman.com. Phaeleh is heading out on tour in North America and the artist has just released a new track, Make You Feel. It is low-key, downtempo, laid back electronic that you can dance to--check it out/download it HERE. Phaeleh also has a new video for the track, Tokoi, which you can check out below. Phaeleh is Matt Preston, a DJ and producer who hails from Bristol (in England not Connecticut). The area has been, for years, a launching ground for innovative electronic acts. Tour
