Title Fight are heading out on tour in the fall with Balance & Composure, Cruel Hand and Slingshot Dakota. The band is still touring in support of their 2012 release, Floral Green. The band has a rep for playing punk rock but they do more than that.

They can play music with more nuance to it. Of course, Punk Rock can have nuance but this is more than just pulling a ballad out of their ass every few years for radio play. There is something more to these latter day punkers.

For more on the band head to www.title-fight.net.

The Julie Ruin is a musical project, started in 1997 by Kathleen Hanna of Bikini Kill and Le Tigre. She released a solo record under the name Julie Ruin (sans the article).  The intention was always to make the band a live entity but Hanna didn’t start putting that together until Bikini Kill took a break in 2010.

The Julie Ruin’s LP, Run Fast, comes out September 3, 2013. The band also includes Carmine Covelli, Sara Landeau, Kathi Wilcox and Kenny Mellman.

You can listen to and download the track, Oh Come On, below. A tour is coming in the Fall.
