November, 2013 is the 20th Anniversary of This Endless Night Inside, the first release by Thanatos (Projekt Records). In celebration of this there will be at least ONE show playing mostly songs from the LP. You can download the LP via the Bandcamp link below
The only currently booked show is at 8 p.m (sharp!),Saturday, September 27, 2013 at Spectrum (121 Ludlow, New York City). Tickets are available HERE.
Many of the songs in the acoustic Thanatos set have never been played for an audience. Other songs haven't been played for many years.
This Endless Night Inside was emo before emo. It was dark sounding music built around an acoustic guitar, tons of reverb and various old-school electronics. Thanatos is one of those bands that never gained traction but five to ten years later a number of similar acts took off. What can you do? It happens. Called goth, darkwave and a slew of other catch-all names Thanatos crafted personal songs even when they drifted from lost love to the Apocalypse.
Also appearing on the bill will be NYC's Niabi (a project that may be playing its last show) and Chicago electronic duo, Binary Partners.
