The third release from School Of Seven Bells, Ghostory, is coming. When I give examples of how music today is head and shoulders above any other time? School of Seven Bells is inevitably one of the examples I trot out as proof.
The now duo’s record comes out February 28. 2012 on Vagrant Records/Ghostly International. The band, once a trio, are now a duo made up of Benjamin Curtis and Alajandra Deheza. This new record was recorded in the spaces between the band’s frequent tours.
If you haven’t heard the band they can have any of a number of labels hung on them-indie, shoegaze, electronic etc etc. This record sounds like more of a concept record as the story of a young girl and the ghosts in her life. It is story put to music.
