Phox, out of Wisconsin, have a single, 1936, off their eponymous debut LP, out for your perusal. The album comes out June 24. It has some vague similarity to the best music of Feist with a dash of any number of new folk acts (and not just because you might, here and there, discern a banjo in the mix). There are hints of 70s soul wafting through the music too.
