Nightlands, aka Dave Hartley, has a new record, Oak Island, coming out January 22 2013. The record is the follow up to 2010's Forget the Mantra. As on that record Hartley deals with esoteric and spiritual pursuits couched in retro sounds mixing genres and styles of yesteryear. But this is still pop music--not some sort of wild eyed avant-garde atonal assault of the ear drums.
