Mr Moccasin is a band that began in a bookstore. Jared Fischer and Hanna Badalova met in the store to start the band. They drew a bunny mascot on a notepad. BAM! Band formed!
Badalova hails from Azerbaijan and her family fled upheaval and genocide there to go to Baltimore when she was a small child. Fischer was born in Baltimore so he, likewise, had no choice but to live there. I kid! I kid because I truly love so much.
The band is a bilingual group singing in English and Russian. They have recorded two self-released records (Deer Eyes Bunny Eyes and You Will Take a Trip to the Sea).
Their latest record, Xaha, comes out on Bleek Records ...sometimes soon we assume. You can download the single Black On Black HERE.
