Marky Ramone is performing a full concert of Ramones music, with an all-star band, as a benefit for Musicians Institute on Friday, October 8 at MI Concert Hall, 1655 N. McCadden Place Hollywood. The band will be announced in a couple of weeks.
The benefit is specifically for the new Marky Ramone Drum Scholarship for Musicians Institute. I had occasion to interview Marky awhile back and he was a genuinely nice guy and this is more proof of that. All the money from the benefit goes to the scholarship.
Tickets in advance are $30 for festival seating, $45 for VIP seating (first three rows) and $99 for VIP backstage (first three rowns and backstage pass with after show meet & greet as well as a Marky Ramone gift bag. We are not going to guess at what will be in that.).

Marky Ramone is in the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame and spent 15 years drumming for The Ramones. He is the only living member of the longest running line-up of the Ramones. He played over 1700 shows and was on more than 15 albums with the band.
