Rooney’s latest is coming out from California Dreaming Records (the band’s own brand new label) through Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group. A lot of press releases are leading with this sort of stuff, labels, distributors..blah blah blah. You don’t really care about it do you?
But it is important really. Without the business end the music doesn’t usually get out. Sure some folks do it themselves but of those only a handful of those are heard by a wide audience.
Well! That was a dun digression.
Rooney did start out self-producing and self promoting their own music back in 1999. They played around L.A., were signed to Geffen Records and released their first two records.
The band has been on the road , over the years, with bands such as Weezer, The Strokes and more. They have also appeared on daytime and evening talk shows galore.
