Juan Wauters is heading out on tour to suppport his first LP, N.A.P. North American Poetry, which hits the streets February 4, 2014.The second single off the LP, Escucho Mucho, is out now (it is one of a couple Spanish language tracks). Tour dates and the single are below.
Wauters is joined on tour by Mac DeMarco who, unsurprisingly, has his own LP coming out soon (Salad Days out April 1).
Wauters moved to NYC from Uruguay to join his father and work at a factory. The two raised mone to bring the rest of the family to the USA. At the same time the younger man began making music--inspired by Jackson Heights. The press release notes that he was "delighted" to find out his new library card gave him access to music (things in the "Americans take stuff for granted" category).
