Haymarket Riot and Tim Larson & The Owner Operators both hail from Chicago. Ergo it is not terribly surprising they are playing a show together in that august city on August 24, 2011.
The gig takes place at Double Door, 1572 N Milwaukee Ave.Chicago, IL, is for those of you who are 21 years of age or older and have access to FIVE U.S. DOLLARS. Canadian or Australian bills will not be accepted. The show starts at 8:30 pm with Deadbeat Darling playing a set.
Haymarket Riot are a punk rock outfit with hints of Minor Threat wafting around them. There are no power ballads in their set. Larson and his cohorts play a sort of urban protest music...like folk music with balls. Its angry, its about people losing their jobs and houses but somehow it still manages to be fun.
