Entertainers partner with HeadCount.org for election day social media push to get voters to the polls. Performers ranging from Linkin Park to Stephen Colbert, from Sarah Silverman to Weird Al join forces to try and get voters, especially young voters and "drop off" voters who only vote in Presidential elections, not in midterm elections.
All the participants have taken photos showing them holding signs saying #GoVote. The images have been saturating social media in the hope that they will get folks out to the polls. Over three hundred entertinainers, averaging a million social media followers (on various platforms) are taking part. This is the largest get out the vote effort ever on social media.
