Coleman Mellett died five years ago. Since that time two musical projects and a documentry film about his work has been tirelessly worked on by a group of talented people, incuding his brother Zeb and his widow, Jeanie Bryson. Mellett was only 34 at the time of his death. He was, at that time, guitarist in Chuck Mangione's band. He released a solo LP in 2007 entitled Natural High. He grew up in Washington D.C. but moved to New Jersey, attending William Paterson University as an undergraduate. He received a Masters in Music from Manhatten School of Music.
