Wild Beast's fourth LP, Present Tense, comes out February 25, 2014 on Domino Records. The video for the track, Wanderlust, is out now. The group is also set to head out on a pretty wide reaching world tour. Dates are below.

Do you like electronic pop with something of a nostalgic sound? That is what Wild Beast play (more or less). The British band isn't totally retro a sense you can get from listening to any given track. The music is paradoxically a throwback and modern at the same time. But then, there is a lot of that going around.

Twin Forks Self-Titled Debut Out February 25, 2014, Pre-Order Now

Twin Forks self-titled debut comes out on Dine Alone Records February 25, 2014. The band consists of members of Dashboard Confessional, Bad Books and The Narrative but they sort of want to downplay that. Good idea because "members of..." is usually not a certain selling point for music. Once you get past who is in the band you still have to like the music. Then the "comparing" begins.

The group plays a variety of energetic folks music with a reverence for tradition. They are trying for an old school feel here.

The group plays as a duo and have had the "emo" tag hung on them. They are more upbeat than THAT (to me anyway). In the summer of 2013 I saw the band for the first time. I was surprised that they were one of the LOUDEST bands Id seen in ages. Great too. They always have seemed more of an "album" band than a "singles" band (if that makes sense). But the tracklisting for this collection is pretty impressive. Also? It is a good place to start for new fans.

Devour The Day's Time & Pressure comes out January 14, 2014 while the band is out on The Hellpop II Tour with In This Moment, Butcher Babies and All Hail The Yeti. Let's just say it "All Hail The Yeti" is a great band name. Nothing against the other band's monikers.

Devour The Day worked with producer Brian Malouf (Queen, Dave Matthews Band, Michael Jackson) on the record. Apparently the release is a "rekerjiggered" version of an earlier release.

Hands Heading Out On Winter Tour With Wild Cub In Support Of LP, "Synesthesia"

Hands, indie rockers out of Los Angeles, are heading out on a winter tour (supported on many dates by Wild Cub). Their new LP, Synesthesia, is out now on Kill Rock Stars.

The band started out in Philadelphia and being young men..they went West. They've played a slew of festivals and opened fo a bunch of well known acts and are primed to hit the big time.

They seem to be compared to Hot Chip with some frequency. It isn't inaccurate but they have something all their own too. Hear the song, Trouble, via Soundcloud.
