 SOS's latest LP, Youth in Decline, comes out September 16, 2014. You can check out, and download,the title track below. The band mix R&B with an almost (ALMOST) industrial sound. The group are out of Portland which seems to be putting out more than just quirky singer songwriters these days. Keep an eye out for more on the duo.

 Emmy Wildwood's PR company describe her music as "ghost pop." They had to know people were going to make fun of THAT right? Is she DEAD? She looks fairly lively in her video for Mean Love (which you can also download free via Soundcloud). Wildwood's Mean Love EP comes out June 24, 2014 on Tiger Blanket Records (her own label which shares a name with her vintage store in Williamsburg). So she is a businesswoman in addition to being a musician. Nice combination (it helps ward off that whole "artist starvation" thing).  Walking Bicycles' To Him That Wills The Way comes out August 12, 2014. You can check out and download (free) the song, Impending Doom, now. The psyche/doom rock band's latest release is their first since 2009. The delay was due to the incarceration of the band's guitarist.  Pujol has a new single, Dark Haired Suitor, out for your perusal. The thoughtful but not altogether optimistic, view of romance is available for your perusal via Soundcloud. You can download it free. The Portland-based band's self released debut, The Clear Blue Pearl, came out in May 2013. They refer to themselves as "hybrid R&B and fantasy folk." This is a genre name unlikely to catch on but you get the idea I am sure. You can find out more on the band HERE.  We Are the Brave, from Australia, have a remix LP coming--Sparrow (The Remixes) comes out April 22, 2014. Remixes come from the likes of; Rich Morel (Morel/BLOWOFF/Deathfix), The Dualists, Culture Fires (aka MANIK), Nightriders and Gnome. You can get the Sparrow (Alcala Remix) free via Soundcloud. This track isn't included in the EP. This is moody electronic music that will stilk make you want to dance. Of course it will be a little bit of a melancholy dance. A new single is coming later in the spring of 2014.  Hand Practices, from Chicago, have a new...two song album, Hanging Out With James Franco. Some of us call this a single but not Hand Practices who are pretty high concept. In truth, I saw them live awhile ago and I make sure to check out everything they do ever since. You should too. This single is available as "name you price" but I would encourage you to not be a cheapskate.  Eyedress (AKA Idris Vicuña) new mixtape, Hearing Colors, is available for your perusal. All 12 tracks were recorded in the artist's bedroom in Manila. You can download and/or listen to this new music HERE. Vicuña recorded these songs using Fruity Loops on an old PC his dad gave him. This is DIY at its most DIY. He seems to be gaining some notice. Let's hope it doesn't change the tunes too much because there is something unique here.   Fever High, out of Brooklyn, have released their first single, That's So Typical, as a free download (below). There is also a video for the track HERE. The group's debut LP is in the works now. Keep your eyes and ears open.  Unicycle Loves You, out of Brooklyn, have a new LP, The Dead Age, coming June 10, 2014. We posted the track, Face Tattoo, earlier and now you can check out the song, Falling Off, below. You can also download it free.
