Brendan James’ third record, Hope In Transition, comes out July 10, 2012. James has been out fighting the musical good fight for the past seven years. His folk meets soul meets pop rock stylings mix the aforementioned styles with electo ambience and conventional instrumentation.
James is based in L.A. these days but is originally from The Derry, New Hampshire. He first began working professionally in NYC. He signed to Capitol Records but his music vanished into the void that was the Capitol-Virgin merger of 2007. He came out of that merger a free man (and he is now on Rock Ridge Music).
He played a lot of shows in the days while navigating the vagaries of the music business (he was also on Decca). James toured with the likes of Paula Cole and John Mayer and has had his music featured on various TV shows.
