Blessed Feathers, from Wisconsin has a new record, Peaceful Beasts in an Ocean of Weeds, coming October 9, 2012. An MP3 of the track , Hey! All You Floridians, is available now. If you pre-order the record before street date you get a free company of singer Donivan Berubes literary zine Sleeping in a Torn Quilt/Dreaming of Gold.
The band will also be on tour on the east coast and Midwest in the fall.
The record includes a variety of instrumentation—banjos, vibraphones, flutes and a slew of percussion. The aim was to develop an earthy, “homespun” sound. You can listen/download below and decide for yourself if Blessed Feathers succeeded.
