Heartless Bastards are not so heartless. Look below, they have provided a video of their song, Only For You, so you can see it. It is off the band’s latest record, Arrow. The video was shot in Texas and directed/produced by Brad Beesley and Louisiana Kreutz. Beesley has worked a great deal with with The Flaming Lips.

Black Moth Super Rainbow, like every other band currently on earth, have a Kickstarter and a new record, Cobra Juicy, coming October 9. They are also touring and dates are below. I like Kickstarter and the band raised 30k in short order and eventually went up to 85k. So they met their goal and don’t REALLY need your money. If you need 85k to produce a record you need your head examined. BUT, usually kickstarter projects offer fans some cool deals and personal contact/service with the band. It takes record companies out of the equation. I like some record companies and they have their place but…it is nice to see bands doing it for themselves. You can check out the Kickstarter and preorder Cobra Juicy HERE. You can also check out the track Windshield Smasher below. I think you can download it as well but there was something wrong with the button to download when I looked at it. Tour

You should already know about the band but if you do not you can find out more here, www.denguefevermusic.com. And those of you in Brasil can check them out at the Mostra Sesc De Artes, an eclectic cultural arts fest that is going on right now. Saturday July 28 @ SESC Bom Retiro (Main Stage) Sao Paulo, Brazil Sunday July 29 @ SESC Bom Retiro (Main Stage) Sao Paulo Brazil Mynabirds have a new video for their track, Disarm. I felt it appropriate to post. I drove from Fort Lauderdale to St. Petersburg and back yesterday. Mynabirds’ LP was listened to, in its entirety, three times on the trip. It is one of the best records of the year. Go buy it. And check out the video below. They use synths but there is also an almost dirty, crunchy blues feel to the music. Often when bands try to mix divergent genres it is a mess--or one song sounds like one genre while the next another. Mynabirds LP, Generals, is cocmpletely seemless. Personal songs, political song, a sly sense of humor…What ELSE to do want? Also check out some new tour dates with Okervil River below. We listed their dates earlier but...an update is appropriate. Tour
