9Bach, out of Wales, are set to release their LP, Tincian, in the USA on May 13, 2014. The recording comes out on Real World Records.
The name of the band has nothing to do with Johan Sebastian but rather is a take on two Welsh words "nain" and "bach." Literally this seems to say "little grandmother" but it has other connotations.
The music has a haunting otherworldly, atmospheric quality and it isn't just because of the Welsh language (although that is part of it). Tincian is the band's second LP.
