Zolla/Lieberman Gallery (Chicago) showed Rene Romero Schuler's Melika At Expo Chicago 2015. Schuler is from Chicago and currently splits time between that city and Carmel, California (I am betting she is in Carmel in January).
When I first saw th_is piece, without benefit of seeing her other work I thought of it as a pure abstract piece but many of her pieces blend the figurative and the abstract.
