Xavier Hufkens (Brussels) showed art by Richard Artschwager at Art Basel Miami Beach 2014.
Artschwager's piece here, Cat Person, takes the term to an entirely new level. He probably is aware of the unlikelihood of such a strange hybrid as he was originally trained as an microbiologist (he also served in World War II)
He worked as an artist for over 40 years with work ranging from painting to sculpture to pieces created from found photographs. He was the subject of a traveling retrospective( Richard Artschwager!) organized by the Whitney Museum in 2012. He passed away in February, 2013.
