
The collection at the embassy in Berlin now includes 65 works and two installations. The Friedlander pieces join works by 50 other American artists.
The Pollock images seen here are all untitled and from 1951. They were published in 1964 after the artist’s death.
The Friedlander photos, New York City, Washington DC and Newark are from 1963, 1962 and 1962 (respectively) and are all gelatin silver prints.
