These mixed media works make up the fourth solo exhibition at the gallery. The pieces include archival prints, oil on canvas and mylar, acrylic
on plexiglas ad installation. Each piece is a commentary on the expanding consumer and industrial landscape and the reduction of natural and rural
space.
Baris' early years included time on varioys American Indian Reservations. His father worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The artist has lived in
relatively unpopulated areas in the west. When he moved to the Northeast for grad school he became exposed to the expanding megalopolis that is the east.
This exhibition focuses on social responsibility--especially that owed b artists to begin a conversation about conservation.
